I made this for my husband since it has wheat in the sauce - not gluten free. Cooking is easy. Boil the rice noodles. Drain. Put noodles back in pot. Add sauce to taste. I added some chicken. He liked it. The noodles were good plain. Realistically, even if you add meat and veggies, this box will only serve two adults. With the extra discount deal, it was a good buy. Not sure if I will buy it again though.

After testing on 6 "meal kit" contained in this document, I have concluded the following:

o The sauce is a bit of salt "and never leaves me satisfied, I prefer a softer, less salty flavor

o The name "meal kit" is misleading, because it should (as others have pointed out), add the remaining 80% of what a Pad Thai

The noodles do not seem fully cooked or if you just follow the directions - rather surprising, because otherwise the mass has the same appearance as the buying (of homemade Pad Thai) the Asian market

or homemade Pad Thai is infinitely better to find a good recipe and you'll know that Annie Chun save time (and money) after all

Hope this helps a potential buyer. We tested this view invisible (not available in our shop at Whole Foods), and struggled a bit during the six boxes in the course of a year. If it had enjoyed in all, would have disappeared quickly!

He prepared this dish with vegetables, tofu, eggs and chicken, etc. .. garnished with green onions and chopped peanuts. It is very meh - a dinner for two in perfect condition, but nothing spectacular. The sauce was very mild and lacked distinctiveness of Thai kick provided by the sweet chili sauce for fish used in many Thai recipes. Honestly, this taste had "diluted" to adapt to an alleged "American" palate. If you want a fairly easy and fast food bags from Asia, this is the point. But do not expect to taste like Thai food restaurant. I'll make my own Pad Thai sauce from scratch in the future.

Fresh kaffir Lime Leave: They are highly aromatic and highly sought after for Thai cooking. They can't, however, be replaced with limejuice. They add a distinctive citrus flavor to curries, soups, and sauces.

Kaffir lime leaves are precious to many Thai dishes, from soups and salads to curries and stir-fried dishes. They are the ingredients that blend marvelously with lemon grass and limejuice in Tom Yum (Thai Spicy Soup) to give the soup its wholesome lemony essence. In soupy dishes, add the leaves whole or torn into smaller pieces, using them as one would bay leaves to flavor broth or stew. For dishes in which they are a component to be eaten, such as salads, stir-fries and dry or custard like curries, cut them in very fine needle-like slivers, so that their strong bouquet can be more evenly distributed. The slivers also provide a pleasing texture and appearance.
To sliver kaffir lime leaves finely, stack three to four leaves of similar size together and slice them very thinly with a sharp knife. It is faster to cut diagonally, which gives the hands better leverage.

Kaffir lime leaves is also used as an indisputably effective cleanser, natural deodorizer and add a sparkling scent, like sweet bouquet of citrus blossoms, and each scratch of the zest releases another installment of refreshing perfume.

Keep them in a sealed plastic bag in the freezer.

This brown rice tastes fine, and the quantity is perfect for a filling lunch below another tastybite dish with sauce. The problem is: some of the grains are not well separated from the hulls, and I found quite a few hulls in all the packets I ate so far. I do not enjoy the hulls AT ALL, and I have to waste time digging through the rice to pick them out. So, if tastybite fixes the "hulls problem", 5 stars. With hulls: 3 stars. For now, I find that Gogo Brown Rice has less hulls, and that's what I'll buy until Tastybites fixes the problem, thank you.

I confess this is a great addition to the kitchen. My daughter-in-law introduced me to sticky rice. My wife and I were vacationing in time and when we got home the first thing I did was look for ways to do so. I found this product and are very satisfied.

Delivery time was great. I think it was only about 3 or 4 days to go all the way across the country. Nothing was damaged and nothing was missing. The aluminum pot, basket and bamboo gauze were there along with the bag of rice. The instructions are also included. I think we played the first game the next day. The screen keeps everything in place and kept away confused. Cleaning is easy too.

If you want to try the sticky rice, or simply need a replacement will be a great addition.

When I was in college, some missionaries, once introduced me to the glutinous rice balls served with condensed milk (or hot sauce). I have not had that since then, until I saw this kit. I have to do in one day I'll be home because the rice has to soak for 4-6 hours before being steamed. And then the rice and steam for 45 minutes. But the end product is delicious ... Enjoy.

While the restaurants always do it best, these curry pastes are pretty tasty. It's easy to use, fast, and you can add the meat and veggies of your choice. For those of you scared of something spicy, you might use a little less, but for most, it's just right, and for those that like it spicier, you can add a little crushed red pepper. Since the coconut milk has to be added separately, you can also control the fat content--you can go light or go with the much yummier, creamy stuff. I find the green curry is a little sweeter than the red and panang curries, and is maybe a little less spicy.

I have been using this product for years and it is marvelous. Take a (boneless) chicken breast and dredge in the peanut bake mix. Place any extra mix in the botton of the dish.I place foil over the dish, and then take it off ten minutes prior to the chicken breast being done. This will condense down the juices that have gathered and make a marvelous sauce to put over mashed/baked potatoes. Watch closely the last five minutes so that it doesn't burn in the bottom of the pan due to sugar in the mix. This is an easy, easy dish to prep, and it is "company worthy". It does have a mild to medium spicy (depending on your palette) kick to it.

Yeah I agree, I've been using this for years and when the local stores quit carrying it (for whatever reason they do stuff like that), I was glad to see it here, and loaded up. By the time you cook your rice this will be more than ready, and it's a great sauce base to start from if you want to use half at a time. Somehow they lucked out and managed to get the flavors just right, and they haven't mucked it up since.

I love this Taste of Thai Peanut Sauce Mix. It is spicy and flavorful, but not too spicy that I can't tolerate it. The sauce comes in two packets and all you have to do is mix it with some coconut milk and warm it up. It is delicious over white rice and chicken or tofu. Add a little cilantro and scallions on top and you have a wonderful meal.

I've prepared chicken satay using this product and both times I served it, the guests raved about it. I added some sweet chili dipping sauce for those that like their satay a bit more spicy. The dressing for the cucumber/carrot/pepper salad was a bit bland and not much is provided in the serving, but it is easy to add other sauce to spice the salad up as well.

Kokuho Rose is a variety of medium-grained rice developed and grown in California by Koda Farms. It is very similar to Japanese rice (japonica), which is short-grained and fat. Introduced to the American market in 1963, it is well-suited for Japanese cuisine because it's very sticky and gelatinous, having the same taste and texture as Japanese rice. It is a very popular choice for making sushi because it is relatively easy to find and inexpensive.

To make sushi rice, the kernels have to be washed until the water is clear, then steamed. I use an electric rice cooker like Panasonic SRG06FG 3-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker, but you can get fancier ones that cost upwards of $100. Cooked perfectly, the grains are firm, slightly elastic and have a shiny, pearl-like luster.

You should be able to find this at your local Asian supermarket, as it is a widely distributed brand. Some bigger American supermarkets may also carry it. Another popular brand is Nishiki Premium Rice. These are the two major brands I use and recommend. If you can't find either of these, a third brand is Botan Rice.

Made from a mixture of rice flour, water, and salt these are rolled out by machine to paper thinness and then dried on bamboo mats in the sun. Rice papers are used extensively for wrapping Vietnamese spring rolls of pork and seafood, which are then fried and wrapped with crispy fresh lettuce and herbs and finally dipped in a sweet, sour hot sauce. Useful Hints: Rice paper must be softened before use. Simply immerse them, one or two sheet at a time, in a warm water. Soak them until they are soft, approximately 1 or 2 minutes. Handle them carefully as the sheets are brittle. Drain them on a linen towel before rolling Make your own fresh spring rolls with our recipe. A more convenient size than you typically find, as these are 8.5" in diameter and much easier to work with than 10 or 12 inch style. We offer only the premium wrappers which are not too thin and not too thick. Simply pour warm water over thin wrap and it becomes soft. Place the wrap on a plate and stuff with your favorite vegetables (bean sprouts, sliced carrots, cucumber, fresh basil leaves, cilantro, mint leaves, lettuce) and meat if you prefer. We like to dip the final product in our special sweet chile sauce for spring rolls, or a mixture of 1/2 cup Hoisin Sauce, juice of one lime, two crushed Thai chile peppers and several cloves crushed garlic (use a mortar and pestle to crush the chiles and garlic). I have not purchased this brand from this company yet, but I am quite familiar with this product as a number of my friends, who I cook with, use them. These are a bit smaller than the normal size therefore are more suited for appetizers than for the main course. They are quite strong and very easy to work with. If you make an error, they let you off the hook.

My friends have been delighted with the service this company offers and they have found them, i.e. the company, very easy to work with and more than accommodating. If you have never used spring roll wrappers, you need to read the directions carefully or work with someone who has experience with them.

Having used the product and having dealt with people who have purchased these wrappers, I feel very comfortable in recommending them.

Each "bar" contains 9 hard candies, each filled with liquid honey. They contain only three ingredients; sugar, corn syrup and honey. I love to use them at Christmas too; I send out lots of packages in the mail and like to include a bar or two in each.

These are great. I used to eat them from Sun Harvest when I was growing up. I went to look for them and couldn't find them anywhere. Sun Harvest seems to have stopped carrying them. I was finally able to find them online here and get a case. All the people I have introduced it to have loved it. Pretty much as other people have described, it is a hard honey candy with a liquid honey center. It may be too sweet for some people but I love them. I wish they were sold nearby :).

I bought a package of these at a country store in a local orchard. I ended up eating all of the drops by the end of the day because they were so good. They are a delicate honey flavored lozenge, with a liquid honey center, and they are just delicious. I can only imagine how great they are to soothe a sore throat, too. When I saw them on Amazon, I bought the entire pack of 24. They are great for the car, the purse, the symphony hall, school, and work. Those Italians make some great stuff!

Great buy, and they last a very long time. Unless I go on another eating rampage.

This is a great and delicious way to eat Thia food at home. Just "melt" the entire packet (if you like it spicy) into two cans of coconut milk in a pan. Then add your favorite meat and veggies. I usually use chicken strips and a bag of frozen asian veggies.

I have to admit that this is a great addition to the kitchen. My daughter-in-law introduced me to sticky rice. My wife and I were on vacation at the time and when we got home the first thing I did was look for the tools to make it. I found this product and am extremely pleased with it.

Shipping time was great. I think it was only about 3 or 4 days for it to come all the way across the country. Nothing was damaged and nothing was missing. The aluminum cooker, bamboo basket and cheesecloth were all there along with the bag of rice. Instructions were included as well. I think we made our first batch the very next day. The cheesecloth keeps everything in place and keeps the basket from getting messy. Cleanup is easy too.

If you want to try sticky rice or just need a replacement this will be a great addition.
